This week’s learning
Old Macdonald had a Farm
๐ต Singing and counting: The children have enjoyed learning and singing nursery rhymes and counting songs together. They are beginning to join in with familiar words, actions and numbers while developing their confidence and listening skills.
๐ค Making friends and sharing: The children have been getting to know one another and learning how to play and share together. They have been practising taking turns and sharing the lovely toys and resources in our nursery, helping them to build positive friendships.
Important information for next week
-
๐ฉ๐พ Dress-Up Day – Monday 21st September
We would love the children to come dressed as a farmer or their favourite farm animal.
-
Please remember to label all clothing and belongings with your child’s name.
๐ Library Books – Every Friday
Every Friday, your child will have the opportunity to choose a book from our nursery library. These books are for you and your child to enjoy together at home. Please remember to return the book every Friday so that your child can choose a new one.
๐ Snack Contribution – £1 per week
We provide lots of lovely fresh fruit and vegetables for the children to enjoy at snack time. Please remember to pay the £1 weekly snack contribution via parent pay.
We don't need the children to bring in water bottles - they have access all morning to a drink from the snack table.
How you can help at home
๐งฅ Getting dressed independently: Encourage your child to practise putting on and taking off their own coat. Give them plenty of time to have a go by themselves and praise their efforts.
๐ค Recognising their name: Practise helping your child recognise their own name.
๐งผ Washing hands: Please remind your child to wash their hands thoroughly after using the toilet. This is an important routine we are encouraging the children to develop independently.
