Nursery- Friday 18th September

This week’s learning
Old Macdonald had a Farm
Our story is The Little Red Hen
🎵 Singing and counting: The children have continued to enjoy learning and singing nursery rhymes and counting songs together. They love singing these songs and it is wonderful to see them growing in confidence.
🤝 Making friends and sharing: The children have started to make some lovely friendships and we continue to strengthen their social skills. They have continued practising taking turns and sharing the lovely toys and resources in our nursery.
🤝 Using writing tools: We have started to use our crayons to begin to draw big circles and lines. This will help us when we write our names.
Outside area: We love being outside and in our outdoor areas.

Important information for next week
· Dress-Up Day – Monday 21st September
We would love the children to come dressed as a farmer or their favourite farm animal.
· Please remember to label all clothing and belongings with your child’s name.
How you can help at home
🧥 Getting dressed independently: Encourage your child to practise putting on and taking off their own coat. Give them plenty of time to have a go by themselves and praise their efforts.
🔤 Recognising their name: Practise helping your child recognise their own name.
Counting to 10 – can you count to 10 when you do things like climb the stairs or while driving in the car.
