School Meals – Big Fresh Catering

At Romilly Primary School, we work in partnership with The Big Fresh Catering Company, which provides healthy, nutritious and balanced school meals for our children.

Big Fresh offers a varied menu designed to encourage healthy eating, with meals that meet Welsh Government nutritional standards.

Our School Dinner Menu

Our school dinner menu operates on a rotating cycle, offering children a variety of meals throughout the week.

From Monday 2nd November 2026, children will choose their school meal each morning in class, rather than parents ordering in advance through ParentPay.

We encourage families to look through the menu together so that children are familiar with the choices available.

Free School Meals

All children from Reception to Year 6 at Romilly Primary School are entitled to a free school meal every school day through the Welsh Government's Universal Primary Free School Meals scheme.

There is no charge for these meals.

However, families receiving certain benefits are still encouraged to register for benefit-related Free School Meals, even though their child already receives a free lunch.

This is important because eligible families may also qualify for additional financial support, including the School Essentials Grant, which can help towards the cost of school uniform and other school essentials. Registration can also help secure additional funding for our school.
