1. This week’s learning 🌟 

We have had another fantastic week of learning in Year 2! 

📖 In Literacy, we have started working on our shared write as part of our Jack and the Beanstalk unit. The children have been putting their writing skills into practice, sharing ideas and working together to create exciting sentences using all the wonderful vocabulary and techniques we have been learning. 

🔢 In Maths, we have been focusing on number facts and number bonds, developing our confidence and speed when recalling these. We have been exploring different ways to make numbers and understanding how number facts can help us solve calculations more efficiently. 

🏰 In our Castles topic, we have been busy creating some fantastic castle sketches, looking carefully at their shapes, features and details. We have loved seeing the children's creativity and attention to detail as they put their artistic skills to the test! We have also been discovering lots of interesting castle facts, learning more about what castles were used for and what life might have been like inside them many years ago.

We have been overwhelmed by your kindness, and it has been lovely to see such a fantastic collection of food and essential items. Your generosity will make a real difference to families in our local community.
