A huge well done to Sebastian and Ivy, who have been busy supporting two fantastic charities through their recent fundraising challenges.

Sebastian and Ivy both took part in the 5K Superhero Run, raising money for Noah's Ark Children's Hospital Charity, helping to support children and families across Wales.

Not stopping there, Sebastian also completed the Inflatable 5K, raising additional funds for LATCH, the charity that supports children receiving treatment for cancer and their families.

Taking on these challenges and raising money for such worthwhile causes is an incredible achievement, and we are so proud of the kindness, determination and community spirit they have shown.

You are superheroes to us! 🌟

    Published 03/07/26

Our Year 6 pupils recently joined children from local primary schools for an exciting Coastal Science and Climate Change Field Trip at Whitmore Bay, organised by the Wales Coastal Monitoring Centre. Throughout the day, pupils took part in a range of hands-on activities, including building coastal defences, investigating coastal erosion, exploring the effects of sea level rise, taking part in a treasure hunt and becoming 'Super Scientists'.

The trip provided a fantastic opportunity for pupils to develop their understanding of climate change and the local coastline, while also helping to support their transition to secondary school. • Heatwave Home Learning Menu

    Published 24/06/26

As part of our arrangements during the current spell of exceptionally hot weather, we have created a Heatwave Home Learning Menu for our children to enjoy at home.

The menu includes a range of fun and engaging activities inspired by summer and the sunshine, including:

    β˜€οΈ Becoming a weather watcher
πŸ’§ Carrying out simple science investigations
🎨 Getting creative through art and design
    πŸ“š Reading and storytelling activities
🧘‍♀️ Taking part in mindful movement and relaxation
    🌿 Exploring nature safely outdoors

The activities are designed to be flexible and enjoyable and are entirely optional. There is no expectation for children to complete every activity. Instead, we encourage families to choose a few activities that appeal to them and enjoy learning together in a relaxed way.

With temperatures remaining very high, our priority is that everyone stays safe and well. We encourage all families to:

    • Drink plenty of water throughout the day.
    • Stay in the shade during the hottest part of the afternoon.
    • Wear lightweight clothing and sun hats when outdoors.
    • Apply sun cream regularly.
    • Take time to rest, relax and enjoy some quality family time together.

We hope our Heatwave Home Learning Menu provides some inspiration and helps children stay curious, creative and connected to learning while keeping cool.

The menu can be downloaded below.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support and understanding.
