A huge congratulations to Sophia Crespo and Pheobe Clutterbuck, who will be leaving us on Monday to represent Wales in San Sebastián at the Global Dance Open, the world's largest dance competition. Being selected to compete at such a prestigious international event is an incredible achievement and reflects their hard work, dedication, and talent.

Our wonderful PTA  have raised an amazing £1487.63!!! 

All money raised will be going towards our new school library, which will be a wonderful resource base for the children. 

 

This afternoon, our Year 3 children proudly performed in a fantastic Pbuzz Concert, celebrating everything they have learned over the past eight weeks.

Led by Gareth from the Cardiff and Vale Music Service and funded by the Welsh Government, the Pbuzz project has given every child the opportunity to learn to play a brass instrument, develop their musical skills, build confidence and experience the joy of making music together.

Our school canteen was packed with parents, carers and family members, creating a wonderful atmosphere. The children were absolutely delighted to perform to such an enthusiastic and supportive audience, and they should all be incredibly proud of what they have achieved in such a short space of time.

A huge thank you to Gareth for inspiring our young musicians and supporting them throughout the project.

Congratulations to Griff  (4JB), who has been named Most Improved Player for the Vale Vipers Basketball Team!

This is a fantastic achievement and a wonderful recognition of Griff's hard work, determination and commitment throughout the season.

We are pleased to share a fantastic new online resource from the Cardiff and Vale School Nursing Service to support the health and wellbeing of children, young people, parents and carers.

The new Health & Wellbeing Padlet brings together a wide range of trusted information, advice and support in one easy-to-use place. It includes guidance on topics such as:

• 🥗 Healthy lifestyles
• 👨‍👩‍👧 Parenting support
• 🩺 Physical health and development
• 🤝 Where to go for help and advice

One of the great features of the Padlet is that it can be viewed in many different languages. Simply click the three dots (⋯) in the top right-hand corner and select your preferred language.

We encourage all families to explore this valuable resource and keep it bookmarked for future reference.

The School Nursing Service works closely with schools and families to provide advice, promote healthy lifestyles and support children's physical and emotional wellbeing throughout their school years.

 

As we come to the end of another fantastic school year, we are delighted to be holding our very first ROMFEST!

Our aim is simple: every child leaves Romilly with a wonderful memory of their final day together.

Throughout the day, classes will enjoy a range of exciting festival activities including:

🎨 Face painting and glitter
🎈 Bouncy castles
⚽ Football activities
📚 Woodland storytelling and wellbeing area
🎨 Arts and crafts
🐴 Meeting Shetland ponies (subject to final confirmation)
🍩 Doughnuts, candy floss, ice lollies and refreshments
🚒 Emergency service visitors (subject to availability)
...and plenty more surprises!

The day has been organised by Romilly Primary School, with the incredible support of our PTA, who have very generously funded many of the activities and are giving up their time to help make the day such a success.

We are extremely grateful for their continued support of our children.

As always, children will remain with their class and class staff throughout the event, and activities will be carefully supervised to ensure the day is safe, fun and inclusive for everyone.
