School Improvement
Each year the school works to prepare its 'Action Plan' for the year, this is called the School Improvement Plan.
In preparing the plan, we take into account the results of our own self assessment systems, including Teacher Assessments, feedback from Parents, Pupils and Governors. We also look at the National Priorities being put forward by Welsh Government and also national and international research on children's learning and schools.
We then prioritise the actions for the year to formulate our School Improvement Plan or SIP.
Our priorities for this year are outlined below:
Priority 1- To strengthen pupils’ speaking and listening in Welsh through improved staff skills and confidence |
Priority 2 - To improve mathematics outcomes for pupils through focused professional development in subject knowledge and teaching practice |
Priority 3 - To raise reading standards for pupils through consistent, high-quality teaching and targeted support. |
Priority 4 - To create flexible learning provisions for complex needs |
