Our Learning

At Romilly Primary, we are privileged to have well qualified staff, representing a wide variety of interests and experiences. We place the pupils at the centre of their learning.

Our curriculum is designed to develop the ‘whole child... socially, emotionally, morally and educationally.’

The provision of a well organised curriculum, catering for the needs of all, is of paramount importance. Skills and knowledge are taught through a series of structured activities designed to promote pupils' development. As such, the curriculum is not only concerned with skills and content, but also with its planning, organisation, evaluation and the way in which learners engage with it.

Our curriculum includes not only the formal requirements of the National Curriculum and Foundation Phase, but also the range of extra curricular activities organised by the school to enrich the experience of the children. It also includes the ‘hidden curriculum’ or what the pupils learn from the way they are treated and the way they are expected to behave.
